Gentle yoga with lots of options so you can move at your own pace. No experience needed, come along and experience this calming and joyful movement practice.

Stay on for a coffee and chat afterwards in the onsite cafe.

A class-set of Yoga mats and blocks are available. However, you are also welcome to bring your own mat and any other props you may need. The classes are held in the Tower Room at Eureka Centre Ballarat, Stawell Street South in Ballarat East. We love using this beautiful round room to practice in a circle, removing hierarchy and with the added bonus of not being at the front or the back of the class!

About

Kate is a yoga teacher based on Wadawurrung Country in Ballarat, Victoria. She is deeply interested in both the physical and emotional benefits of yoga.

How might we practice yoga to energise, calm, heal and to open ourselves to new possibilities and purpose? How can we stay curious about ourselves in this practice?

Kate promotes regular practice (even a few minutes a day!) allowing students to experience improved flexibility and mobility, reduced tension and greater self-awareness. She gently guides asana using a trauma-informed approach and encourages practice in a way that is kind, compassionate and appropriate for each student – taking into account energy levels, injuries, emotions and current life circumstances.

Kate began learning yoga in 1998, regular practice eventually inspired her to undertake teacher training in 2020.
